Adding the French Keyboard in Windows98

Start - Settings - Control Panel - Keyboard

Keyboard Properties Window click on Input Language tab

Click on Add button

Choose French (Canadian)

OK

Switch languages settings - choose Crtl+Shift

To Switch Keyboard Languages

On the bottom right in the Task Bar you’ll see EN or FR to indicate what keyboard language is in use.

Note: if you change the keyboard language. It only changes the keyboard language in that application for that session.

To change - place your mouse on the EN or FR in the task bar & click on the left mouse button - the click on the language you want.

Or press at the same time the Shift & Ctrl keys. This is the easiest method. You’ll see the see EN or FR change.
