A Miracle on King Street Fashion Show and Silent Auction

Once again, CDCI West will be putting on a fashion show. This time, it's in support of the United Way. It's going to be a great show with a silent auction during intermission, and there will also be a canteen! The show is on Friday November 21st, 2008. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7:00pm. For ticket inquiries, please call the main office at (905) 372-2191 or drop in! Also, tickets will be sold at lunch time in front of the office. Tickets are selling fast!

Sir Winston Churchill once said, "We make a living with what we get, but we make a life with what we give." So come on out and support the community through some great fashion and lots of fun!

Chocolate Fundraiser

Once again, Cobourg West will be having its annual Chocolate Fundraiser! This fundraiser is led by Mr. Fraser and the Student Council here at the West!  Profits and all money generated goes back to the students of our school. Things such as motivational speakers, West teams and clubs, and many other things are paid for by the money generated from chocolate sales.

The chocolates are provided by World’s Finest in Campbellford… their name says it all! It is said that be that Mr. Robins is our school's number one customer. Will anyone dare to challenge him as to who can buy the most chocolates this year?

If you are a student and you're interested in collecting chocolates, please see Mr. Fraser in room 103 before it's too late!

Terry Fox Run

On Thursday September 25th , 2008, CDCI West students took part in the Annual Terry Fox run down at Victoria Park. The West met up with St. Mary's and CDCI East to begin the run at 1:00pm. The West sported its colours as it does every year.  Students painted themselves down in Mr. Fraser's room, 103, to get ready for the run.  Student Council President, Liam Rafferty and Student Council Vice-President, Jacob Vanderham got up on stage to pump up the students. Back at Victoria Park, there was water, granola bars and apples to revive the students after the long walk/ run in the heat. Our school raised about $ 7,000 dollars with more to come!

Congratulations to all students and staff who participated in the run and raised money for a great cause!
