WHAT IS A CAREER PATHWAY?
A Career Pathway is a package of courses
which help to provide students with learning experiences that they will
find relevant to their career interests. The pathways group together
careers that share similar characteristics and whose employment
requirements call for many common interests, strengths, and abilities.
Career or program pathways allow students to create educational plans
which include a combination of courses and real-work experiences
that will prepare them for their post-secondary destinations in
direct entry workplace careers, apprenticeships, college or university
programs.
