ON-LINE COURSE REGISTRATION
THE ON LINE COURSE REGISTRATION LINK IS AVAILABLE AT THE
BOTTOM OF
THIS SCREEN
Before starting the course selection process, be sure that you have the
required information and material which includes:
✔ An active e-mail address.
✔ Your Student ID Number.
✔ Your “proper” full name as it appears in the school system.
✔ A list of courses that you wish to register for. Be sure that you have
done your research and that you know which compulsory credits you need to
graduate and which pre-requisite courses you will require for future
programs. A

THE REGISTRATION PROCESS:
Read the following information before clicking on the On Line Course
Registration Link below.
➣ First time users must click “New Users Sign In” and enter the
required information. Note that if you have your Student ID Number, you
will not require your OEN. Be sure to choose a USERNAME and PASSWORD that
you will remember.
➣ After completing the above information, the computer should
automatically return you to the log in screen and you must then enter your
USERNAME and PASSWORD and click on Submit.
➣ Use the alpha list of courses on the left hand side to make your
course selections or click on the arrow beside “Reference” for a drop down
box and then choose “Req. Areas” to have the option of choosing courses by
groupings.... ie. English, Science, etc. Note that after clicking on a
course from the left hand menu, you may click on “More Details” to get
course descriptions. Note also that the “Credit Summary Counselling” bar
provides you with a credit history and indicates which compulsory credits
you still require.
➣ To select a course, click on the course you want and then click on
the Add button and the course will appear at the bottom of your page. To
remove it, click on the Remove button. Note that if you do not have a
prerequisite course, you will not be allowed to select that course. The
computer also warns you if you have already earned that credit.
➣ Students going into grades 9, 10 and 11 must select the equivalent of
8 credits. Students going into grade 12 must select at least 6 credits.
5th year returning students must select at least 3 credits if they are
returning for one semester and 6 credits if they are returning for the
full year.
➣ Students who are not returning to the West or students who are
returning for one semester only are asked to refer to the special codes
that are available on the “Course Selection” sheet.
➣ Upon completing your course selections, click on Submit. When the
Report button appears, you may print out a copy of your course selection
or you may Log Out at the top of the page.

➣ A verification sheet showing the students’ course selections will be
sent home to parents / guardians for approval. Verification sheets are to
be signed and returned to the guidance office by March 1st. Proposed
changes may be noted on the verification sheets. |
