Retail Council of Canada, in partnership with industry sponsors, will award more than $75,000 in scholarships and benefits to students entering or currently enrolled in a business, marketing or retail-related program at a Canadian post-secondary institution.

Benefits of the scholarship program for students include financial assistance in their post-secondary education and a chance to connect with top industry professionals by attending STORE 2009 in Toronto.

For the first time this year, Interac Association will award a $5,000 scholarship to the top applicant for the Retail as a Career Scholarship. The name of the recipient will be kept secret until STORE 2009.

There will be 26 scholarships available in 2009, one (1) $5,000 Interac Scholarship and twenty-five (25) $1,000 Industry-Sponsored Scholarships.
