SCHEDULE OF DATES AND PROCEDURES FOR 2006-2007

ADMISSION TO AN ONTARIO COLLEGE

OCTOBER 2006

Access to the online college application at www.ontariocolleges.ca

NOVEMBER 10, 2006

First data transmission of demographics, marks history (by guidance).  You may start the application process once the data have been received by the Colleges. 

NOVEMBER 20, 2006

First date that OCAS will send 2006/2007 application data to colleges. 

FEBRUARY 1, 2007

Equal consideration deadline for all programs. (This is not a deadline for submitting applications to OCAS.)
Earliest admission offer date for all applicants. 
Earliest date that applicants may confirm an offer of admission.
Offers of admission will continue to be issued until programs are filled or wait lists are established.  Students who do not have the entrance requirements may be notified at any time during the admission process that they do not qualify for admission. 

FEBRUARY 16, 2007

Final first semester marks and currently enrolled second semester courses due at Ontario College Application Centre.

APRIL 27, 2007

Mid-term second semester marks due at Ontario College Application Centre (sent by Guidance office)

MAY 1, 2007

Confirmation of College Acceptance. If colleges require a different date applicants will be advised in writing of that date by the college(s) to which they have applied.

JUNE 15, 2007

Earliest date that colleges will expect payment of tuition.

JULY 6, 2007

Final marks due at the Ontario College Application Centre. Students who complete summer school must submit marks to OCAS and to the colleges to which they have applied.

IMPORTANT NOTES TO CONSIDER

C Be sure you are eligible and have the correct admission requirements for the program you are considering. This information is available in the individual college calendars located in the Guidance and Career Education Centre.

C Select the programs and colleges to which you will apply. You may apply up to a maximum of five with no more than three program choices at any one college

C Complete the application process with the assistance of a guidance counsellor., if you wish. All applications and your grades are directed to the College Application Centre in Guelph who charge $80.00 for processing your application.
