SCHEDULE OF DATES AND PROCEDURES FOR 2006-07

ADMISSION TO AN ONTARIO UNIVERSITY

SEPTEMBER 2006

University INFO books distributed to all potential university applicants.

JANUARY 10, 2007

Deadline for Ontario secondary school students to submit completed hardcopy and on-line applications to the OUAC. Note: - Applications received after these dates will still be processed by the OUAC and distributed to the universities. However, specific institutional deadlines will apply.

The original application procedure will include the collection of all final grades from previously completed Grade 11 and 12 courses, any final grades from previously completed OAC courses and a listing of all current year courses in progress.

FEBRUARY 6, 2007

RECOMMENDED last date for students to submit all information the OUAC, including university and program changes, as well as additional active choices to be eligible for consideration for early admission. (Please note this is not a deadline date. Changes will be accepted and processed by the OUAC at any time.

MARCH 6, 2007

Deadline for submission of all Semester 1 final grades. (Done by guidance)

APRIL 27, 2007

Deadline for submission of Semester II mid-term grades. (Done by guidance)

MAY 10, 2007

The earliest date by which Ontario universities may require a response to an offer of admission from an Ontario secondary school student. All other admissions-related elements including scholarships, other forms of student assistance or financial incentives and offers of residence are considered part of the offer of admission.

May 25, 2007

The latest date by which all secondary school applicants shall expect a response from an Ontario university.

JUNE 1, 2007

The date by which all secondary school applicants shall expect a response from an Ontario university.

JUNE 11, 2007

The earliest date by which Ontario universities may require a financial commitment of any kind. (I.e. registration deposit; residence deposit; etc.)

JULY, 2007

Deadline for submission of final grades to the University Application Centre. Students who complete summer school, night school etc. must submit grade to OUAC and to the universities to which they have applied.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES TO CONSIDER

C The earlier offer date means that the universities may use Grade 11 and 12 marks.

C Each university will set its own admission policies to be published in the INFO booklet. Pay careful attention to these details.

C Fee is $100.00 to apply to three universities - each additional choice is $33.00 each. These additional choices can be submitted as part of the original application or as amendments to their application after it has been submitted.
